| The mission of the Genealogical Society of Riverside is to
generate interest among the general public in genealogy, family
history research, and the preservation of these records.
The purpose of the Genealogical Society of Riverside is to provide an organization for the general public where they can attend informational lectures on research methods, learn of available sources that will aid in their goals, and to publish resource books that will aid the general public in their research needs in Riverside city and county. |

| The Genealogical Society of Riverside (GSOR) was founded and incorporated in 1965 and is organized for the purpose of developing friendships among members by mutual assistance in genealogical research; to provide information pertinent to methods of genealogical research; and to collect preserve, and disseminate genealogical source materials.
